How does HotelSwaps work?
What are HotelCoins?
HotelCoins is the currency which is used to trade hotel rooms between HotelSwaps members.
1. Earn HotelCoins. Advertise your room availability in the HotelSwaps reservation system and earn HotelCoins as payment for reservations made by other HotelSwaps members.
2. Transfer HotelCoins. Transfer your hotel's HotelCoins to anybody of your choice - owners, employees, suppliers etc.
3. Book rooms with HotelCoins. Recipients of HotelCoins can use these to pay for stays at any other hotel member – either from advertised availability or as request of specific dates.
How many HotelCoins do I earn for a booking?
In order to offer a fair exchange between members, the HotelCoin cost per Room Night booked through HotelSwaps is determined by the hotel’s public pricing and the seasonality of its location.
The average public reservations value of 1 HotelCoin is approximately 1 USD.
What privileges do I get thanks to Design Hotels™?
With Design Hotels™, you get 20% discount on the annual Premium membership fee and a welcome credit in HotelCoins corresponding to the value of your first year's membership fee.
The Basic membership does not carry an annual membership fee but you only earn 75% of the HotelCoins value from your inbound reservations.

Where can I travel to with HotelSwaps?
You can book at any of our 500+ luxury hotels and residences around the world, with a privileged access to the Design Hotels worldwide.
How much is the reservation fee?
A reservation fee is charged for all confirmed reservations and any subsequent amendments. The reservation fee is GBP 0.08 / EUR 0.09 / USD 0.10 per HotelCoin used for your reservation, representing on average 10% of the public value of your stay.
